Puligny-Montrachet
is the
fulcrum of the Côtes d’Or white wines, situated between Meursault to the
North and Chassagne to the South. Despite their apparently modest extent
they produce the greatest
Grand Cru white wines in Burgundy and arguably the best Chardonnay in
the world. |

“Les Fôlatières ” is located on the edge of the Bathonian limestone
fault. It is considered by many as the best Puligny, yielding only to
the Grand Cru Montrachet and Bâtard themselves. They are similar to the
other Puligny in their youth, but then go on gaining a power and
structure that make their aroma outstanding! |

Tasting
Notes: Delicacy and Grace! Light
in color and well presented with traces of hazelnut on the nose, this 04
vintage is freshness personified, with spring blossom and apple and pear
fruitiness. A fine Premier Cru, more gentle than pungent. |
