This
small very well tended property belongs to the Leydet family which also
owns the Château Valois vineyards in Pomerol. Resting on sands and
moraine stones, the Estate mixes (co-plantation method) vines of Merlot
and Cabernet Franc. Rated “Excellent” by Hachette, and close to the
"Coup de Coeur",
this wine is also one of the best values of the Saint Emilion Grand Cru
Appellation. |

Tasting Notes:
Dressed with a very deep rubis color,
intense and profound, this 2003 vintage develops a very elegant nose
with aromas of cherry, licorice, vanilla and toast. Very well balanced
in the mouth with light structure, volume and a good finish of black and
red candied berries. Will be even more remarkable in two to three
years. |
