and limestone on a subsoil rich in
crasse de fer
Wine-making:
Traditional. Thinning-out of leaves practiced
at the beginning of Summer on the whole vineyard.
After bottling in the Estate, the wine is kept at
constant temperature in the cellar.
Variety blend:
50% Merlot, 33% Cab Franc, 17% Cabernet Sauvignon
History:
Château Les Chapelles has been managed by the
Durand family since more than 300 years.
Today, Christian Durand runs the family estate.
His motivation is to obtain the best result from this superb TERROIR, by
combining the respect of tradition and the use of modern techniques. |
